What wait-and-load does that a skip doesn't
A skip is a container you rent, park and fill at your own pace — for a long job that suits a lot of people, and we hire skips out too. Wait-and-load is the other way round: a crew turns up, clears the job and takes it away in one visit. Here's what that version saves you.
No skip permit to chase
A skip on the road or pavement needs a council permit arranged before it's dropped. Our truck never sits on the highway — it arrives, loads and leaves — so there's no permit to apply for and no waiting on the council.
Nothing parked for a week
No skip taking up the drive or a parking space for days on end while you fill it. We clear the job in a single visit, then the truck and your rubbish both leave together.
No neighbours filling it
An open skip left overnight is an invitation — passers-by and neighbours quietly top it up, and suddenly you've paid to take away someone else's rubbish. Nothing sits out for anyone to dump in.
We do the lifting
Hire a skip and you're still the one carrying every bag, board and broken wardrobe out to it. With us the crew does all the loading — you show us what's going and stand back.

A price before we start
We quote the whole job from your photos — one number, agreed up front, with labour, disposal and the waste transfer note all included. Nothing to pay yet — we open in mid-October 2026. From launch, you pay it in full when you accept, and that’s what holds your slot.
We turn up and load
You point at what's going, the crew carries and loads it. Most typical loads are cleared inside an hour — bigger clearances take longer, and we'll tell you straight when we quote.
Gone, with paperwork
The truck leaves with your rubbish the same visit. You get a completion record and your waste transfer note sent straight to you — never anything left on your street.

Extra week +£50 · same-day delivery +£50. On your own driveway there's nothing more to pay. On the road you also need a Newport City Council permit — £63.63 for 14 days — and we arrange that for you. Prices are Newport average rates; we confirm your exact number before anything is booked.

You pay for the space you fill
No skip-size guessing. We price by how much of the tipper your rubbish takes up: a quarter for a single item or a small clear-out, a half for a single room or a shed, three-quarters for a couple of rooms, a full load for a house or full clearance. The number you actually pay is quoted from your photos and confirmed against the real load.
Nothing to pay yet — we open in mid-October 2026. From launch, you pay in full when you accept the quote, and that’s what holds your slot, with nothing more to pay on the day. A small fuel charge applies beyond 10 miles from our Newport base — it's always included in the quote you're given, never added on later. Heavy materials like soil, rubble and tiles hit the truck's weight limit before they fill it, so they may be priced by weight as well as volume — we'll always tell you before we start.
No driveway? Tight street? Still fine
This is exactly where a skip struggles — nowhere legal to put it without a permit, or no room at all. A crew and a truck don't have that problem.
- Terraces and no off-road parking. Nowhere to drop a skip legally usually means a permit and a marked-out bay on the road. We pull up, load from wherever the rubbish is, and move on — no bay, no permit, no blocked pavement.
- Flats, shared drives and narrow lanes. A skip you can't fit or aren't allowed to leave is no use to anyone. The crew carries the load out to the truck, so where the truck can park matters far more than where a skip could sit.
- In and out. Because nothing is left behind, there's no skip taking a parking space off you and the neighbours for days — one visit and the kerb is yours again.
If access is genuinely tight — a long carry, upper floors, a lane the truck can't reach — mention it with your photos and we'll factor it into the quote up front, never as a surprise on the day.
Every load leaves with a waste transfer note. As a registered waste carrier we take your rubbish to a permitted site and give you the legal duty-of-care record to prove it — issued on completion and kept on file, so a "cheap van" that fly-tips your waste in a lane is never a risk you're carrying.
Wait-and-load questions
Do I need a skip permit for wait-and-load?
No. A permit is only needed when a skip sits on a public road or pavement. We're a wait-and-load service — the truck arrives, the crew loads it, and it leaves the same visit, so nothing is ever left on the highway and there's no council permit to arrange.
How long does it take?
Most typical loads are cleared inside an hour once we arrive. A bigger clearance — a full house or a job-site clear-out — takes longer, and we'll give you a realistic time when we quote. Either way it's one visit: we don't leave anything behind to come back for.
Do I have to help load it?
No — the crew does all the lifting and carrying. You just show us what's going and what's staying. That's the main difference from a skip: with a skip you fill it yourself; with us the loading is our job, not yours.
Is wait-and-load cheaper than a skip?
It depends on the job, and we won't pretend a single number fits every case. A skip plus a road permit still leaves you doing all the loading yourself; once that labour is counted, a photo-quoted load that includes the crew often comes out level or better. For a long renovation you fill slowly over days, a skip may genuinely suit you — we'll tell you honestly rather than talk you into the wrong one.
How is my price worked out?
By how much of the truck your job fills — quarter, half, three-quarter or full load, priced from the photos you send. Single items start from £89. Labour, disposal and the waste transfer note are all included, and the final number is confirmed against the actual load, adjusted with you before we start only if there's materially more or less than the photos showed.
Is there anything you can't take?
A short list sits outside a standard waste carrier licence and we won't touch it: asbestos (common in old garage and shed roofs), gas bottles, chemicals, oil and other hazardous waste. If we come across any of it we stop and point you to the right specialist rather than risk it. Everything else in a normal house, garden or trade job is fine.
What areas do you cover?
Newport and around 30 miles around our NP20 base, covering Gwent and into Cardiff. A small fuel charge applies beyond 10 miles from base and is always included in your quote. If you're near the edge of that, send your postcode and we'll confirm before anything's booked.
