A small Newport venture built on doing disposal properly
Halcyon Clearance is a rubbish-collection service for Newport and about 30 miles around — one truck, one crew, one price agreed before we start. Same-day and next-day collection start when we open in mid-October 2026. We want to be the clean side of waste removal — the simple version: your rubbish ends up somewhere legal, the job leaves the place tidier than we found it, and you get the paperwork and the photos to prove it.
The promise, in plain terms
- Nothing is ever fly-tipped. Every load goes to a permitted site and comes with a duty-of-care waste transfer note — that's the whole point of the business, not an add-on.
- Proof, not promises. Every job is backed by a five-photo, timestamped evidence chain and your transfer note — so you can see where your waste went, not just take our word for it.
Responsible disposal, with the paperwork to prove it
This is the part of the job most people never see — where the load actually goes once it leaves your kerb, and how you can check.
Duty of care, done properly
- A waste transfer note on every job. Your legal paper trail showing what was taken and where it went — issued per job, straight to your account.
- Sorted for recycling. Loads go to a permitted transfer station and are separated for reuse and recycling wherever possible. We'll publish a real diversion figure as soon as we have one worth publishing — never a made-up number.
- Never fly-tipped. Every load goes to one of the permitted sites listed alongside — not a lay-by, not a lane, not a field gate.
Where we take loads — the local permitted sites we use.
-
Newport City Council — Docks Way
The council's Newport landfill / recycling site, which takes commercial vehicles.
-
GD Environmental
Newport recycling and waste-transfer station — recycles 98%+ of the dry waste it takes.
-
CS Waste Ltd
A licensed Newport trade-waste site — a permitted route for commercial loads.
The evidence chain — five photos and a note
Anyone can say "we dispose of it properly". We show it. Every job builds a chain of five timestamped photos plus your waste transfer note — a plain, checkable record of what we took and where it went. Each photo is a status marker, not a live map: it captures a moment in the job, timestamped.
1 · Rubbish before
A timestamped photo of the pile as we find it, before a single item is touched — the honest starting point for the job.
2 · Rubbish after
The same spot once we're done, timestamped — proof the space was actually cleared, logged straight to your account.
3 · Van before
The load in the truck as we leave your job — a timestamped record of exactly what was taken away.
4 · Van at the facility
The loaded van arriving at the permitted, licensed disposal site — timestamped, so there's no question the waste reached a legal facility.
5 · Van after
The empty truck once the load has been tipped at the site — the closing photo that completes the chain.
+ Waste transfer note
Your duty-of-care paperwork for the job — what was taken and where it went — issued per job alongside the photos. Your legal paper trail, done for you.
Licensed, insured, accountable
The pitch only holds if the licence is real and the price is straight. Here's where that stands today.
-
Waste carrier licence
Upper-tier waste carrier registration with Natural Resources Wales — registered. Every job carries a duty-of-care waste transfer note.
-
Insured and accountable
We carry commercial and employers' liability cover. We aim for a small, known crew rather than a call centre.
-
One price, agreed up front
You get one number per job before we start. Nothing to pay yet — we open in mid-October 2026. From launch, you pay that number in full when you accept the quote, and that's what books the slot, with nothing more to pay on the day.
Reviews land here
We're collecting real customer reviews as jobs come in. No stars, ratings or counts appear until they've actually been earned.
See the difference on your own job
Send a couple of photos of what needs clearing and we'll quote it straight — one price, the paperwork, and the evidence chain included.
Book online in three steps and we'll come back to you with a fixed price.
