The single items we take most
If it's in a normal home and it's not on the hazardous list, we'll shift it. These are the ones we're asked about most — but a photo of anything odd gets you a straight answer.
Sofas & armchairs
A three-seater, a corner suite or a single armchair. Upholstered furniture is kept segregated and routed the way the rules require — never fly-tipped, always with the paperwork.
Washing machines & white goods
Washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and cookers. Heavy and awkward on a staircase — the two-person lift is included, so you're not wrestling it out alone.
Fridges & freezers
Fridge-freezers hold gases that mean they can't go in with general waste. We take them to a permitted site set up to handle them properly, with the waste transfer note to prove it.
Mattresses & bed frames
Mattress, base and frame — a common one when a new bed's being delivered. Mattresses are kept separate and sent via a permitted route, not thrown in loose.
One item costs a call-out either way
So fill the rest of the load while we're there
The smallest job we price is a quarter load, a flat £89. One sofa rarely fills that on its own — so the smart move is to clear the rest of the clutter in the same trip. The old armchair, the bags stacked in the garage, the broken flat-pack behind the shed, the bits from the loft you've been meaning to shift for a year.
It's the same crew, the same visit and the same price whether that quarter load is one item or a car-boot's worth of odds and ends. You're paying for the space in the truck, not the number of trips up and down the stairs — so use the space you're paying for.

Part loads, priced by the fraction of the truck
A single item or a part load is just the bottom of the same ladder as a full clearance. You pay for how much of the tipper your things take up — nothing else. A quarter covers a single item or a small clear-out, a half a few big items or a single room, three-quarters a couple of rooms' worth, a full load a whole house. Every job is photo-quoted, flat per job, before we lift a thing.
Prices are guide steps — every job is quoted per job from your photos, and confirmed against the actual load. Nothing to pay yet — we open in mid-October 2026. From launch, you pay in full when you accept the quote, and that’s what holds your slot, with nothing more to pay on the day. A small fuel charge applies beyond 10 miles from our Newport base and is always included in the quote you're given, never added on later.
We carry it out — you don't
The whole point of a two-man crew is that the lifting is our job, not yours. A single item still gets the full service, not a kerbside-only shortcut.
What's included
- Collected from the room it's in — upstairs, garage, garden or shed
- A two-person lift on every job, so heavy and awkward items aren't your problem
- Light dismantling of a bed frame or flat-pack if it helps it out of the door
- The space it leaves swept up before we go
- Your waste transfer note issued on completion
You point at it, we take it. There's nothing to drag to the front of the house first.
What we can't take
- Asbestos of any kind — old shed and garage roofing especially. If we suspect it, we stop and point you to a licensed specialist.
- Gas bottles and cylinders
- Chemicals, oil, paint tins, solvents
- Clinical or sharps waste
- Anything else classed as hazardous or needing a consignment note
This short list sits outside a standard waste carrier licence. We'd rather turn a job down than cut a corner on it.

Even a single item ends with a waste transfer note. It's your legal duty-of-care record that your fridge, sofa or mattress was carried and disposed of properly at a permitted site — issued on completion and kept on file, so you've always got the paper trail.
Single-item questions
How much to take away just one item?
A single item is priced as a quarter load — £89, the smallest step on our ladder. Because you're paying for the space in the truck rather than per item, it's worth clearing the rest of the clutter in the same trip: the quarter often has room for more than one sofa or fridge. Send a photo of everything you'd like gone and we'll quote the whole lot as one flat price.
Do I have to get the item to the kerb?
No. We collect from wherever the item stands — upstairs, the garage, the garden or a shed — and the two-person lift is included on every job. You point at it, we carry it out. There's no kerbside-only rule and nothing to drag to the front of the house first.
Can you take a fridge or freezer?
Yes. Fridges and freezers hold gases that mean they can't go in with general waste, so we take them to a permitted site set up to handle them properly and issue the waste transfer note to prove it. Washing machines, cookers and other electricals are fine too — all taken to a permitted site set up to handle them.
What about a mattress or a sofa?
Both are fine. Mattresses and upholstered furniture are kept segregated from the rest of the load and sent via a permitted route, the way the rules require — never thrown in loose or fly-tipped. A mattress, base and frame together still comfortably sits inside a quarter load in most cases.
What areas do you cover?
Newport and around 30 miles around our NP20 base, covering Gwent and into Cardiff. A small fuel charge applies beyond 10 miles from base and is always included in your quote, never a surprise. If you're near the edge of that, send your postcode with your photos and we'll confirm before anything's booked.
How will I pay, once you open?
Nothing to pay yet — we open in mid-October 2026 and are taking no payment before then. From launch: you pay in full when you accept the quote — that's what holds your slot, and there's nothing more to pay on the day. Book online and we'll take it from there. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on your own account page; cash and bank transfer are fine too if you'd rather.
